Central Group's Jog Leaders
Here to help! Although also here to tell you to stop moaning! These are our lovely leaders who will help you start jogging, keep up your fitness or push you when training for a race.
![]() | Kate Crichton I never used to run - didn’t think I could - then got persuaded to come along to JogScotland sessions. I followed their training programme and gradually built up what I could do comfortably. Now, 6 years on, I love running half marathons with my new friends and I feel fitter and healthier than I thought possible. I am now a jog leader because I wanted to help pass on to others the benefits I have experienced. kate.crichton@ed.ac.uk |

![]() | Angela Lewthwaite Back in 2006, I was lured into running to help out our team in Estates and Buildings. I realised how unfit I was and joined JogScotland sessions, since then I have never looked back. I’ve been running twice a week now for over 6 years and I feel hugely better for it. I would encourage all of you to join the group to get fit and stay healthy. The group offers a fun and supportive way of exercising, and is suitable for all fitness levels. ![]() | Lisa Ketchion As a teenager I used to run for my school team but after a break of 10+ years I got back into running as the big '3 0' was fast approaching. This was nearly two years ago and the running bug has definitely bitten again! Everybody at the Jog Scotland sessions was really supportive when I first went along, so I have recently become a Jog Leader to encourage others and hopefully share some of my experience. Whether you can't jog, but want to start or even if you are a regular runner there is definitely something for you in our Jog Scotland group - even if it is just a good craic with like minded colleagues!!
